Well this week has gone by too fast, just like the others. Everything has been smooth sailing, so I am pleased about that. There have been a few times where the student would shut down, usually she just puts her head down. Since we are in a close one-on-one environment we are usually able to calm her down and give her the attention she needs. She has earned her way back into social studies, and started going this week. She sits in class, pays attention, does her work, and complies with requests the first time. Her behavior has been exemplary, so I would hate for it all to be ruined because she has a moment of resistance. I am worried that when she is fully out into the classroom she won't get the attention she needs, and therefore will have an outburst. Even though she has been excellent, she still has those moments where we almost lose her, and she might not get what she needs in the general education classroom. I guess we will keep doing what we're doing and seeing how it goes. On another note, I am realizing that next Wednesday is our last day! I am really going to miss all the kids that I've worked with. I want to do something special for them, but having about 36 students makes it kind of hard. I just hope they know how much I enjoyed working with them, they made the internship great!
