I can't believe it is actually over! The weeks absolutely flew by...my first 5 weeks with Mrs. Tierney were not enough...my few weeks with Mrs. Pennington were too short...and my last few weeks with Mrs. Evans seemed even shorter! I have had the absolute greatest experience and I feel so grateful to have had sooo many excellent mentor teachers to work with. They were so kind and patient and helpful with everything, especially Sara who didn't even have to help me! The students that I worked with are some of the greatest, they are all so funny and unique they made the whole experience enjoyable. I am certainly going to miss them...however they will not be forgotten. It scares me to think that I will be on my own soon, but thanks to these great teachers I feel more prepared than ever. I think that I learned a lot from them, and I can use everything that they taught me in combination to create a classroom of my own. On another note, I am very thankful to my coordinator and my liasons, as well as my WVU professors for helping me along the way. They have also taught me valuable lessons in the world of education. So for now...thanks to everyone and I should be returning in a few weeks!
It was certainly not the placement I had planned for you in the beginning, but it turned out to be great for you in many ways. One of the reasons was that you made it that way--thank you for your flexibility and perseverence!
